Next week I’m on the road to conduct a FIFA Futsal Course; this time in Cambodja.
I always hope that such countries use these courses to start up the Futsal in their country. With the money from FIFA and support from experienced instructors this should work, one would say. But nothing could be further from the truth; there are still countries who put Futsal again on the bottom shelf.
That’s a pitty, surely after FIFA acknowledged that Futsal can be a great support for the Football individual via the Grassroots Programme. It would be highly recommended if the confederations like Concacaf, OFC, AFC and CAF (in total 140 countries) would explain this to their Technical Directors. It’s a win-win situation for both Futsal and Football to finally really be able to compete with other top countries.
But despite that I look forward to next week!
