I choosed to bring some new young players to Vietnam to gain experience. The base players are always steady and for the upcoming AFF Tournament in Malaysia I want to line up with a younger team, so this was a nice solution.
And so it went: the base players manifested themselves and the new players enjoyed visible. The sad thing was that in the decisive phase, the quarter final, I had to miss our captain (he received a red card in the game against Lebanon). But I can not do the other players shortage, as they played a top game against Japan in the quarter final, who were Asian Champions in 2012.
Despite of the 2-3 loose I’m very satisfied. Hitch on to Japan is possible, Iran is another story. This team was excellent during the tournament. Speed, game mentality, 1 against 1 unstoppable. Really enjoying for the true Futsal enthusiast.
Now I will follow again the competition in Thailand and prepare for the next challenge: Europe training camp in August and AFF Tournament in Spetember.
I will keep you posted about the national developments.
